# Changelog

> What changed in the ZeroDrift API and documentation.

Newest first. Breaking changes are announced here before they ship.

## 2026-10-16: Activity reports the calling client

* [List Activity](https://docs.zerodrift.com/api-reference/activities/list-activities.md) and [Get Activity](https://docs.zerodrift.com/api-reference/activities/get-activity.md) return `client`: the first product token of the request's `User-Agent` header and the comment right after it, if any, or `null` when none was sent. It is reported by the caller and not authenticated.

## 2026-09-24: Max detects without rewriting

* Custom rules now enforce on Max with `validation_scope.rules`; the
  [Enforce Content example](https://docs.zerodrift.com/api-reference/validate/validate-content.md#example)
  shows the confirmed request shape.
* Max (`anchor_3_0_max`) returns per-line violations but no rewrite. Custom rules enforced on Max never return a rewritten line. The hosted OpenAPI `model_engine` description matches that contract.
* On a Max job, `violations[].fix.suggested_text` carries the rule's own fix note when the rule has one and is otherwise empty. Escalate on an empty `suggested_text`, or run the same content through Flagship.
* Rewrite remains a Flagship capability, including for an uploaded policy checked through a trained [adapter](https://docs.zerodrift.com/guides/train-an-adapter.md). [Pricing](https://docs.zerodrift.com/pricing.md) no longer lists rewrite as included on Max.

## 2026-09-23: Anchor routing and result payloads

* A scope-less Flagship (`anchor_3_0`) request stays on Flagship and checks the active managed catalog only. Activated custom rules are not evaluated unless the caller asks for Max.
* Max (`anchor_3_0_max`) enforces activated custom rules at inference. A Flagship request that explicitly names a `cust_*` rule still upgrades to Max and reports `engine_upgrade_reason: "custom_rules"`.
* Mini (`anchor_3_0_mini`) runs unscoped against its frozen rulebook and returns whole-message `flagged_rules`; it cannot honor workspace pack toggles or `validation_scope`.
* Sync and async completion payloads now share the same nested `result` shape. Public usage is returned as `result.units` and `result.cost`, and `applied_validation_scope` reports counts rather than the full rule ID list.
* Rule and rulepack IDs for `validation_scope` come from [List Rules](https://docs.zerodrift.com/api-reference/custom-policies/list-rules.md) and [Rule Packs](https://docs.zerodrift.com/api-reference/rulepacks.md). See [Enforce Content](https://docs.zerodrift.com/api-reference/validate/validate-content.md).

## 2026-09-22: Anchor 3.0 Mini, Flagship, and Max

* `model_engine` on `POST /api/v3/content/validate` accepts `anchor_3_0_mini`,
  `anchor_3_0` (Flagship, default), and `anchor_3_0_max`.
* See [Choose a model](https://docs.zerodrift.com/models.md) for when to use each tier, [Pricing](https://docs.zerodrift.com/pricing.md)
  for per-validation rates, and the
  [Anchor 3.0 benchmark](https://zerodrift.com/model/anchor-3-benchmark)
  for quality and latency.

## 2026-09-18: Anchor 3.0 pricing

Documented per-enforcement pricing for Anchor 3.0 Mini, Flagship, and Max, including rewrites, custom rules billed in groups of 10, and Flagship Training Studio. See [Pricing](https://docs.zerodrift.com/pricing.md).

## 2026-09-02: Guard for Agents

* The Enforcement API became available in production for agent response paths.
* MCP connectors can import policies from Notion, Linear, Confluence, and Google Drive.
* Anchor 3.0 is available as `model_engine: "anchor_3_0"`.

## 2026-09-01: Training Studio API

* Added `POST /api/policies/import/{import_id}/train`.
* Added `GET /api/policies/import/{import_id}/train` for training status.

Training Studio's broader product launch is separate from these endpoints.

## 2026-08-11: Command

* Command launched with API keys, rulepack activation, policy import, and live activity.

## 2026-08-04: Activity API

* Added `GET /api/activities`.
* Added `GET /api/activities/{activity_id}`.
* Activity queries support a 30-day window.
